These programs have been designed to comply with state legislation requiring each investor-owned utility, including CenterPoint Energy, to reduce electric energy demand through either standard offer or market transformation programs. CenterPoint Energy is offering several such programs in its distribution territory. CenterPoint Energy serves more than 5 million metered electric and natural gas customers in the Houston/Gulf Coast area.

Residential Standard Offer Program

The Residential Program provides incentives for the installation of a wide range of energy efficiency measures for single family, multi-family, and manufactured housing.

Potential 2013 Project Sponsors: Each company which includes duct efficiency as a measure in the Residential and Standard Offer Programs may be required to employ at least one certified HERS rater. A copy of that certification may be required in order to participate as a duct efficiency program sponsor.

 

Hard-to-Reach Standard Offer Program

The Hard to Reach Program targets customers whose annual income level is at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines. The installed measures must reduce summer peak demand and provide annual energy savings at customer sites within CenterPoint Energy service area.
